Hi, I have been on LLLT for three months now, the scalp feels better however, I feel that I have less hair than before. Could this be because of overexposure to lasers? I used it every day for 25 minutes because my scalp condition was so worse that I had to use it in order to get instant relief from itchiness and pain. Tremendous itchiness and pain would just vanish if I use my laser helmet for even 10 minutes. Now since the condition is MUCH better, so I use it thrice a week for 20 minutes, as recommended by most of the users in this forum. What kind of results should I expect now? Shonik

This what you can expect: shinier, darker, thicker hair, stablized temples, and some modest regrowth mostly in the crown area. You should see cosmetic results by the end of month 4 and regrowth results by around the 8 month. Don't lllt everyday, you will get negative results. Stay at 3 to 2 times a week and you should get positive results. Good luck!

Thank you so much! Till now I have had some negative results because I was doing LLLT everyday. I will do LLLT 2-3 times a week ( 20 min) and probably I have to wait for another four months to see the results because till now I doing it in an insane manner.

I'm curious..didn't whomever sold you your laser unit give you instructions on how to properly use it? You have a choice with High Powered Lasers!

Hi Mike, I build it on my own after referring to OMG's instructions. I was absolutely clear about the instructions that it has to be used thrice a week and not more than that. However, my scalp condition was so worse ......so worse that I had to use it in order to get relief which was badly required. The first time I used it gave me an intoxicating experience. I felt that I I have been shifted from hot Gobi desert to a cool Swiss valley.. I probably got carried away and made a mess of this wonderful treatment. I took a week off and now I do it after every three days for 20 minutes. The growth of my hairs seems to have started which otherwise got halted due to over exposure to LLLT. LLLT is a wonderful treatment for restoring the scalp health. The wound inflicted by androgens is healed in a very effective manner by LLLT as compared to any other treatment. I have tried all the major treatments aimed at reducing the itchiness, oiliness, dandruff and pain without an ounce of positive result. Not to mention stabilization of hair loss. My hair loss is stabilized now. I used to lose somewhere around 35- 40 stands per day which is now down to 5-7 per day. I am yet to determine the re-growth capabilities of LLLT, for that I have to use this treatment for another three months with the recommended procedure. However, if you ask me about my laser experience, I would again say that it’s wonderful and amazing. My scalp is almost healed; I can now go for strand by strand hair restoration and get back full head of hair. I am not completely bald, just need to maximize the density. I was planning to get hair transplants however; I wondered how that would be possible or sustaining in a messy, rather very messy scalp. Should I give LLLT another one year or go for hair transplant right away? Thank you. Shonik

I'm skeptical about the whole LLLT thing. As soon as I read that OMG had 2 hair transplants, his "claims" didn't mean much to me anymore.

Shonik,
I would wait a year and see how far lllt will take you. I did not see much regrowth until the 8 month. I will be at 2 years in at March. It still seems to be getting slowly better at this late date.

Lapwing, Its a slow process however, I am sure about the fact that the end result would be permanent. I am now willing to give it two years after your feedback on LLLT. Just wanted to mention that fibrosis is being reversed and my scalp is getting back to its original state, just like the scalp on the sides and back. Is it a welcome sign?
